Anybody know the length of a serpentine belt to bypass the airconditioning compressor? Bearings are shot in it and being unemployed I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible! Any help would be appreciated! 95 4.0 liter...

if you use a bypass pulley you can use the same size belt. AutoZone lists a belt for your ex without a/c. PN# is 805K6. But I don't know if the non A/C engine has the same pulley arrangement. Maybe some one will chime in...

Vehicles factory shipped without A/C MIGHT have different idler pulley arrangement to assure proper "belt wrap" on the other accessories driven by it. If you simply skip the compressor "wrap", be certain the shorter belt wraps everything else reasonably well, and does not rub anything it shouldn't. imp

Thanks for the info, i wound up measuring and it comes out to 81 5/8 inches. Which does happen to be the length for the factory belt without a/c. good thing to know in the future! Thanks for the help!

My 96 Ex OHV took the 805K6 when the A/C locked up.
