2002 ranger
Hey guys - I have an issue that keeps throwing me off with my ranger.
It is a 2002, 3.0 Liter V6 (Flex), Automatic, 4X2 - 131,000 miles
In normal around town driving, it runs and shifts fine, BUT when I am on the interstate I have some issues. If I am in hilly country, going uphill, and the transmission downshifts to overdrive (4th) and the engine goes above 32-3500 RPMs, It starts to "hiccup" and it continues until I drop the rpms below about 3200 rpms - If it upshifts from 4th to 5th and does not get above about 3200, it is fine, there is no issue. I REALLY love the truck and don't want to get rid of it, but I don't see me putting in a new tranny.
What do you think, guys??
