Well I Wanted a solution to the holes behind the running boards. I had seen people plug them, weld them, get the trim from models that didn’t have running boards, etc. I wanted something easy, DURABLE, and something that of course looks nice.
And I found this!!! Just under $10.00, very tuff stuff.

Using This!!
I used my heat gun, to soften it up enough to make the curves. The area under it, i painted black to match. I got it from O'Reilly's auto parts. comes in a roll, 2" wide, by 20' long. enough to do both sides, with almost 8 feet left over. and as i mentioned, under 10 bucks. I have used it on my boat, with a lot of water contact, and it has held up EXTREMELY well, over the past 2 years. so when this idea hit me, i was like, eureka!!! now i can ditch those running boards.
