- 2016 Explorer Sport
How does anyone get anything done on this forum with all the junk pop-up advertising?
So here is why I have registered.... I have bought my second Explorer Sport. My first was a 2015 Black on Black with all the options, including the upgraded interior and Adaptive Cruise with all that hindered progress of performance entailed. The newest one is a 2016 Black on Black without all the bells and it will soon have bigger turbos for more whistles!! I intend to race my Sport in the 2020 One Lap of America, "Cannonball Run" as a FauxPo SUV.
This will be my fourth OLOA run and second in a "themed vehicle" as my other was a custom Ambulance that could run 130 mpg with a tuned 7.3L Powerstroke. My first attention will be the brakes, suspension, Engine & transaxle cooling systems. Once I have these systems addressed, I will focus on a real intercooling system, most likely a larger air to air setup as the OLOA events in 2020 will be on long tracks like Road Atlanta and VIR. I look forward to discussing upgrades and talking with those who have truly endeavored to find the limits, only to push beyond them.
Let's have some fun and I look forward to any links you all might possess to help me reach the goal I have with this new vehicle!!
