Well, once again this forum has saved me a heap of money. My '99 XL was suffering the common driver side door lock problem, and to make matters worse, the day it hit -42 the driver's side door handle snapped right off. So, for about the last 3 weeks or so, I've been crawling in the passenger side.

But today, after warming up to about 0 degrees (32 degrees for you south of the 49th,) I got around to fixing both problems at the same time, thanks to great write ups found on these pages. :D

I don't know if this was the right place to post this, but thanks again, and keep up the great work.

Amazing isn't it how empowered you feel when the knowledge to better yourself is available? I feel the same way as you at least once a month on here.

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, and become an Elite Explorer member? I feel the same way as you about this place, and joined. It was the least I could do. :-)

Damn, Ft. Sask is a bit too far from Calgary. I really need to get around to fixing two ailments on my driver's side. Loose actuator (needs to be riveted back in) and the limp door handle. I've had the replacement handles for a while. Just been too lazy.

I hate working inside the door. :(

Well said.

You're right, after the savings and the other great advice I have upgraded to Elite and will continue to support the site and all its members have to offer.
