Hi All ! Hoping somebody out there can give me a little help with the servo placement in my A4LD. Trans came out of an '89 Ranger - going in to a '94. Both trucks have 4.0 ltr. Overall it's a pretty good transmission - lower mileage, not driven hard, nice and clean inside. We just want to do what we can for it from the outside before it goes in ; new servos, band adjustments, new filter and seals, etc.
Anyway... somebody pulled the servos without taking note of which one came from where and which spring was which.
I've got an AB and a BB - the AB having the bigger bore. From what I can surmise from Glacier99's pics the AB should go in the overdrive (front) hole and I'm just guessing the bigger servo would get the bigger (orange) spring ? with the smaller BB servo in the intermediate placement with lighter (green) spring.
That's guessing though and I hate to do that as they're so hard to get at once it's installed in the truck and the exhaust goes back on.
Anybody know for sure which way these things go ? I'd appreciate any help I can get here.
