going to change the tranz fluid and filter in my 93 explore how many quarts does it take and are there any low reverse band adjustments?

Ford manual says 10, but that's with the cooler and lines blown and most of the atf out of the torque converter. I'd guess at 7-8 but use the dipstick when you start getting close to 6
