ABS kicking in at wrong time!

Yes, I ended up doing new hubs of both front wheels. These came with new sensors.
Popped those on and everything was working as it should again.

Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions to get this fixed. I took so long to finally get it done as it's not my daily driver anymore.

Thanks for the update & Brooklyn thanks for all the tips/writeups/etc! Yesterday while I was replacing diff cover & fluid I removed & cleaned rear ABS sensor. I am keeping my fingers crossed this will fix my ABS issue. Not looking forward to buying/replacing hubs unless absolutely necessary. Waiting on some shock bushings from Explorer Pro Comp (removed front shock) so I wont be test driving the Explorer for maybe another week.

Took the Ex out for a very short spin today, unfortunately cleaning the rear ABS sensor didnt fix the ABS issue. It was worth a shot, very easy to get to the rear sensor and only 1 bolt.

What?

Sorry but I just read all this and I can not for the life of me figure out what front hubs have to do with ABS. The ABS sensor is just an electro magnet, as the fins on the rotors pass it the resistance changes, if the resistance remains constant, and the truck is moving, the ABS reads this as a tire lock up. So please explain to me what front hubs would have to do with this.

Sorry, I don't get it, and I've been taking these trucks apart and putting them back together for a long time.

Bob...

Update to an older thread. Had the ABS pulsing, pulling to the left. Replaced the passenger Hub (new ABS sensor included with new Ford Hub). Problem Resolved!!! So Far.
