My brakes were growling, ratcheting coming to a stop, also a whining noise from the front left tire.I figured it was the hub bearing assembly. Replaced the hub bearing assembly, the brakes seem to work fine, but now the abs light is on as it was not before. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Check the connection for the abs sensor on that wheel, use some electronics cleaner. If that doesn't fix the problem, use a multimeter to check the resistance of the sensor, If you get a reading of 0 resistance or an Open Line then the sensor is bad.
