First of all thanks for looking. I have a 98 explorer 4wd 4.0L. When I turn on the AC it has to be on AC MAX to get cold air and it gets very cold but if it's on regular AC its whatever the outside temp is. Now that it's gotten cold out when I turn the heat on it only works when the heater knob is turned all the way to the hottest it will go. If it's not turned all the way then the air never gets hot. The blower is fine in that it will blow Low Medium High Max with no problems except that the air isn't the right temperature.

I don't even know where to start on this. Please help!

Thanks!

Jeff

Very common problem with these trucks. It's most likely your blend door.

There is quite a bit of info and several ways to fix it. Search around here for "blend Door" or just google it and you'll get a few nice hits with various ways to test and fix it.

Yes. Thats exactly my problem. Thank you very much. I'm going to try the Drilling and inserting a pin. I hope it works. . . Thanks again for the quick response!
