Hi Everyone, I am replacing my AC Compressor and want to make sure the correct amount of PAG oil is in it. I have seen multiple different amounts, from 3.3 ounces to 9 ounces. Can someone let me know what the correct amount would be. Thank you for your time and assistance.

From the 2013 Owner's Manual, page 408 of the 4th printing.

The quantities in the owner's manual are for a completely DRY system.

If you buy your replacement compressor directly from Ford, it is **supposed** to have the correct amount of replacement oil charge when received. After-market compressors - who knows. You basically have to read their instructions and hope for the best.

Otherwise, you have to drain the oil from the old compressor, measure it, and make sure you add the same amount plus a fudge factor back into the system when reassembling.

Take it to a pro. Refrigeration is not a shadetree job.. Even a small error can grenade the compressor in seconds, sending contamination through the lines & condenser, costing even more.
