Adding amplifiers

Hello everyone, new to the show here.
I just picked up a 2012 ford explorer xlt, and was wondering if there was a way to hook up an amplifier to the stock radio. I'm wanting to run some 12 inch subwoofers.
It is the 8 inch non premium sound. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are many existing threads on audio system upgrades from just changing speakers to full-blown upgraded systems. If you use the Search feature at the upper right for 'Audio upgrades', you will find them.
