if you dont mind me askin why do you have to redo yours? anyway yea i'd appreciate some pics of how to do it that would really help me. also can ya give me some tips about paintin it? thanks man

man i REALLY like that color.....was it stock? if not what color is it? i dunno if ill get it though....my moms 03 tahoe is that color (and today its 4 days old) and my sisters 02 Malibu is a little bit darker but pretty much tha same...

ok neways now that ive board yall enuff, nice rims. i actually kinda like tha little bit of shine they add on to ur 4x4

i actually am scraping the entire airdam i decided....i got it from my friend and he used paint that i can not get any paint to ahear well too.... it'll stick to 90% of the air dam but not to the other 10% and i find it unacceptable that way.
I'm getting an airdam from stillen probably next week.

but to paint the ranger air dam heres what i did

1. clean it with some Plastic prep type deal.
2. Dupli-color adheadision promptor. then 5- 7 mins later, primer. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
3. sand the valance to get rid of any paint drips that may have occured during your priming...probably about 400 grit sandpaper should do
4. clean the valance
5. use the adhedsion promotor then 5-7 mins later use your color coat, and let dry. Repeat 2-3 times.
6. use adheadsion promoter again and clear coat....let dry for at least a day or 2. then install.

if you need help on the install i can help you there too

good luck
ryan

p.s. if you need exact prodcut names let me know i'll get them too you when i can, right now my computer is down but will be back up and runnin monday..i'm on my girlfriends comp now....

I ordered the exact same air dam........Im planning on leaving mine the grey color...So the air dam installed right, you just didn't like the air dam painted? Thanks.

i liked the air dam, but the paint didn't stick very well , because my friend had painted it with some werid paint and no other paint will stick to it...so it chips off

i need to take you up on the offer about helpin me with the install.
not quite sure how to do it, i've had a couple ideas but i wanted to ask you first.
thanks man

hehe no problem man

i strached my head about it at first as well....finally with some help from my dad it dawned on me..

1. remove the bumper from the truck...*HAVE SOMEONE HOLD IT SO IT DOESN"T FALL ON YOU*

2. Turn the bumper upside down and position your air dam where you think it is in the right position on one side. IT will take a few trys, have some one hold it for you and you look and have them look. It won't fit the curve of the bumper perfectly but it can be close.

3. Mark the bumper where you need to drill it.

4. Drill a new hole where you marked. then insert the screws from the stock air dam into the new air dam and bumper.

you will want to work your way from one side to the other, making sure at each hole you bend the air dam enough to get it to contour the bumper

with some time and a friends help you can do this....don't try to rush it or it'll totattly suck

Quick question, where did you get your tail lights?

thats a good idea. i woulda never thought about that. i guess im gonna try that this week. thanks again man :D

quick answer: ;)

bought them off a member here....very rare...picked them up for a cool $30

Elite

Did you get those center caps that I sent you a link to on ebay. You will have to go to your local ford dealer and get the acorn shaped lug nuts to hold the center cap on. Go to my home page and look at the centers I have and then go on ebay and bid on some if you got the cash. You will need at least 2 or three lugs per wheel to hold the center caps on.:D

i ended up getting a new truck, got a 97, but i had just used the mounty center caps on the 92....thanks though!

I like the new ride

The new ride is nice and I can't wait to see the mods that you are going to do on it. Keep the pictures coming.:D
