This is probably a dumb question, but what's the difference between air horns and the electric horns that jimabena74 mentioned earlier? Are air horns just plain louder?

thanks for the site 98greyxlt. got some ideas from that one. however, that air tank mounted where it is in an accident waiting to happen for me. i've been hung up several times in that exact spot. everything else is mounted well though.
