I see Airaid makes a cone intake with a very large heat shield that fits in the bottom half of the stock airbox but there only listed for the 2001 and 2002 models. Well, the airbox and MAF sensor location is the same in 98+ and 2001-02 X's. Do you think it will work in and older models? I'm putting in a flat panel airbox/ intake hose from a 2000. I was going to try and fab a setup like the volant with a cone in the box and cut a larger 3" hole in the bottom part, then run a Weapon R ramair tube and snorkel to the front valance. The Airaid looks better though.
