1997 Eddie Bauer 302 AWD. I am replacing the driver's upper control arm. At this point, I am trying to understand the function and workings of the camber(?) adjustment kit the shop put in last year. I can see the shiny new (!) parts, but can't figure out exactly how/why they are installed the way they are. I assume it goes in a special way and I do not want to mess it up. Can someone explain to me how it works and what I should be on the lookout for as I uninstall and reinstall? Thx, LMB

I would use a paint marker to mark their position, and try to get them as close to that as possible. Then, run straight to an alignment shop! Also, I would do both uppers at same time as a problem could occur with keeping the alignment true.

Does "their" position refer to the way the silver pieces are "dialed in" in relation to each other and to the mounts?

something like that. They are a CAM. they apply pressure to the side and push against the side to pull the control arm.

Okay, thanks. I believe I have figured it out. Not complex, as I had hoped.

Here's an excellent, short youtube video, which helped me a lot! [Maybe worth a "sticky"]
