alignment

Today my mom took my 92 EB explorer into the shop to have the alignment done. Then she left it there to go shopping with my sister. Later on my dad gets a call from the shop and they want 130 to regrease the bearings, 200 to align the wheels, and 400 for a kit to realign the wheels with. Have any of you expierenced these kind of prices? and I didn't even know you need a kit to realign it with. btw the reason it was taken in there was it pulled to the right and even harder when I braked plus it started to vibrate real hard around 60 65.

Sometimes with lifts or drops you'll need some parts to be able to align the truck, but usually not on a stock rig. Even so, that's rediculous.

Time to go get your keys, give them the finger, and get the hell out of there. Each step is very important

I would drive my X up their A**. They are crazy. Just to let you know if it's pulling and then pulling harder when you brake it could be a caliper sticking possibly. I'm not saying that is the problem but these people seem to be screwing you so I would have someone else check it out. It only cost me 69 for a 4 wheel alignment.

Yup. Time for the single digit salute and get the H*ll out of there!! A straight alignment runs about $45-50 at Sears, greasing the bearings shouldn't be more than $100 at MOST, and if they need to put new camber bushings in, that would add about $100 TOTAL to the alignment! Sounds like they are trying to rip you off.
