Alpine 9856 question

Does anyone that has the Alpine 9856 know if there is a way to completely turn down the bass on the speakers that are connected directly to it, without turning down the bass that goes to the sub amplifier? I know some people who have different Equalizers that can control all parts of the system from the HU, and I thought when I purchased this one it had those features?

9856 has two bass controls, the bass control for the speakers, and an output for subs too, so the subwoofer bass is controlled separately, if thats what you mean.

change your crossovers, check the manual for how to do it, on my 9855 i hold down menu until it shows up.

I will try the crossovers thing.

As for the two bass controls, there is a volume for the sub bass, and then there is the bass and treble control. In order to turn the bass down to my door speakers, I have to turn the bass/treble control down, which then turns the sub bass down also...

I'll read up on the crossover and see if that helps. Thanks.
