Well here's the thing. My old Alpine 2 channel started to cut out w/ my components ( fosgate top ones) which are a few years old... I thought after 3 years of wear and tear, and one time getting wet, it was giving out... Well today, I got my brand new Kicker ZX 460 from the zeb. I installed it, and it's doing the same thing... I cant turn the volume up past 10-15 w/o it cutting out. My subs keep rockin. I got 1/0 to a cap then it splits to the seperate amps. Both use the same ground which is good, and they both use the same remote turn on. Anyone got a clue?

Thanks,
Pete

you have a short in the wiring between the amp and the components. either they are touching eachother at some point or they are coming in contact with the metal of the car.

oh, incase my post wasnt clear. i meant the speaker wires, not rcas or power:)

Aight... well the Un-limited will be in the garage... b/c shortly after the post, NOTHING wanted to turn on besides the head unit... neither amps... my guess is 1 of 2 things... the remote turn on or a fuse on the main power line. Now that I think of it, I think I'll go stand in long lines tomorrow, and get some good new speaker cables.... my current ones suck ass! And, maybe I'll do some remote turn on/ fuse work! Thanks lee... I'll let y'all know what the problem was, and post picks of the new amp... cause when it works... it pounds like hell! :D

Update

Well, I found out, it was a problem with one of the crossovers.... somethin broke in it, and caused it to shut down. Well, it's one friggin loud amp and it's awesome! I love it!!! Tomorrows project is run a new thicker remote turn on switch. Pictures will come once I learn how to edit photos in the program.
