Well I was thinking full size spare tire, and i came up with this, I decided I am going to put a fabtech slanted spare tire holder (holding a 33x12.50) soon to be tsl, in the back of my explorer, sure it wont be much room on the inside but the only other way i can find is on top on my safari rack.... which means rollover skip! well i wanna know what you guys think!

I've had a 33, now a 35 in my roof rack since I've lifted my X. I haven't rolled yet. I'm waiting until I get a back bumper with a tire carrier. The roof is better than having it inside for me. My interior doesn't smell like rubber and I still have the cargo room which I use a lot. If you don't need the room and you don't mind rubber smell in your car then go for it.

That's how I have my "31 in my 2dr. And I didn't even need to install any hardware. I have two "12 subs in a box behind my rear seat. Then my tire leans back against that (or forward I should say). I strapped it down with two ratchet tie-downs to the frame hooks back there. Solid as a rock. Plus it keeps my speaker box from sliding around, or even worse if I roll it.
But since mine is a 2dr it has even less space to begin with. Now when I go grocery shopping all my bags are in the windows. It looks stupid, so I go stright home. :)

yeah

yeah I am gonna do it because if i roll it ( which is easy!) then im really screwed, i will be sure to show pics, i want more coments and suggestions still, thanks guys and happy wheelin

Actually, I'm thinking about doing the same thing to carry the spare in Woopah! once we finish. Will a 37 fit on that mount? Or will I be rigging something? Maybe I'd be better off making a rear carrier or a roof rack...

ok, my mistake, my friends gave me some **** for saying on my first post,....................... sure it wont be much room on the inside but the only other way i can find is on top on my safari rack.... which means rollover skip! well i wanna know what you guys think. i dont have a safari rack but i meant when i get one, thanks, i know its stupid but i would never hear the end of it
