19 y/o and I am on my 4th vehicle, with this one being completly paid for by myself, (car payment, insurance at $320 a month, and gas), I am a full time student for the University of the Army, getting LVN training.

im 19 and bought two cars in one day, the day i killed my old X and later that day i bought my new X, ok so my parents bought the X for the dealership but i paid $5000 for my old X, a 1996 with 130,000 on it, and $6000 for my new X and im still paying for it with interest total about $12,000 i have $1500 or something like that left, and i have always paid for everything dealing with my car.

and yeah it sucks i went to high school in a very very well off part of town and every other car in the parking lot was a new BMW 3 series or an big chevy Z71 with everything you could want on it and me have to buy my car and pay for everything but im glad i did

and we were jealous of that parking lot just a few miles down the road. Gotta love the difference between the brook and shady valley

no worries man, i started out at a car wash, then jack in the box, bought my first vehicle 1993 2dr full size blazer, then traded that straight across for a 1970 c10 that a guy was in the middle of a 502 swap, but lost interest, i finished that and for a present i got a supercharger from my granpa who had an older one around from his days (not way back, but back) playin with cars, then i went to boot camp, truck got stolen, chopped, sold at auction, and now i have my beloved explorer. all on my dime, while i have millionaire parents. Some have it easy, others dont, who cares.

Good luck with your explorer. Hope to see how this site helps you build your ex up.

The only advice i could give, is to not spend money on little things all the time. i always buy cheaper crap for my explorer, like lights, intake etc, but my real goal is power. If you have big goals, dont let the little things eat your money away. save up till you got it, then save up for the small stuff.

yeah theres a bit of a difference, and my parents could have bought me a new BMW or a new Z71, but i wouldnt get the Z71 when i could get a FX4, but they didnt get one when they were young so i didnt get one and neither will my kids

Im 19 and I live on my own, while paying for college. 40+ hours a week sucks major ass but I turn heads with mu explorer every where i go. 5/5 lift and 33's, bodylift comes in the mail on thursday and should be done by saturday!

man i am gonna spoil the s**t outa my kids. I will supply the tools, and the knowledge, they buy the vehicle and parts. See to me, be spoiled is having free range to do whatever while having your parents actively involved. They still need the concepts of design, build, budget, hard work. That way, yeah they used daddys tools and had some help, but its their truck/rod, their money, their ideas.

im 21 and i also pay for all my stuff. i am still paying for my ex. i hate car payments but i love my ex.

Im 23, my own home, with a degree, pay my own bills and bust my ass to do so, I never ask anything from anybody, thats how it should be. My parents are well off, and I would never live off there dime. Dont think this is a jelous comment but I despise people who live off there parents after 20, you should be on your own. I exspecialy love the ones who live off there parents and act big ballen...
