I got soooo p*ssed at my mechanic today when I had another problem with my front end. First i paid out my *ss for balljoints, ujoints, control arm bushings and brake pads, then after one hard day of wheeling I bust a ujoint and an axle shaft.
Then we are in Attica and I am leaking diffy fluid, so I think it's a seal.
Well I finally get in there today and they tell me the seal is ok but my front end is juiced cause he had a bunch of muddy brown watery gear oil. He couldnt tell me how it got in there though, what a freakin joke. Oh yeah then I find out the zerk busted off of my upper ball joint when I toasted the axle shaft yet they didnt pick up on that one either. All he has to say is that I am a clown to put a suspension lift on this cause I will just break more stuff. DUMASS
So I go up to this other shop that a 4wheelin buddy sent me to and I heard they know there sh*t on 4x4's, he said well sorta, then said why dont you bring your truck with a list in here and we'll see what you want done and we just want to get to know it first. He also said Explorer's are tough vehicle's from what he has seen. Well the reason for this thread is to find out about a motorvac carbonclean service he said that his truck gained 3mpg's from this, I dont care if anyone says they suck, I am risking the $150 to see what this mechanic is all about, If anyone has had success, let me know also or maybe I will be the first to push this product, who knows. What I do know is that I am impressed so far by this guy. HE took my name and address and even made notes on his computer that I am a serious 4wheeler and drive it hard. Instead of that last guy that shook his head when I said I do some mild offroading,
