Anyone ever install a spot light?

I got one of these...

I have the right light & installation kit. It seems pretty easy to install.
However when it comes to wiring, it has only 1 wire. The instructions say to connect to a fused power source such as a fuse box wire, & that's it. There is no ground wire. The power switch is on the spotlight. I'd like to connect it directly to the battery. I assume I need to provide a fuse for this. It's a 100Watt light. What amp fuse would work? Would I need a relay?
