Auto or manual? A few of us manual types have the Hurst Billet/Plus shifter. There has been occasional talk here of adapting a floor shift for the auto, but I don't know if anyone has actually done it. Some of the people here with right-hand drive Explorers have a factory auto floor shift.

Auto?
Diff Wack Daddy has one used with the 700r4 swap. RobbieJ also has one.

Does it look OK?

Their should be a little pin located somewhere on the handle. Usually in the back of it. Pull that pin out and the handle should pop right off.

nada...shop manual says it has to heated and pryed off...too much work for a handle IMO...although if it was just a pin, i would have a new one on by the end of teh day!
