arm radius bushing

those sites have been very helpful to a lot of us and I'm grateful to whoever put them up. we've had links to those sites in the resources section of this site for years.
since more attention is being paid to those RA bushings by bumping up this old thread, maybe some of us could be more help to people with this problem

what do the bushings do exactly? because whenever i go over a bump my passenger side sounds like its hitting something underneath. someone told me that i need to check my ra bushings. could that be a possible solution?

The bushings add a little more comfort to the ride, keep the RA from rubbing and making a bigger hole. I got mine done at Les Schwab for $170 I think it was, alignment included.

My PO had "fixed" the bushings using the grinder technique. Unfortunately, he used urethane replacements, and the driver's side one was so loose I could move the aft one with my fingers.

This week I changed out that one (limited time available), and got good results. Road noise is reduced, and there's no more *thunk* over bumps or when releasing the brake.
