armrest console cover

i am wondering if anyone has this issue too, me and 3 of my friends who has explorer suffering from broken driver armrest console cover, how can i replace that cover or may fix it??

Haven't seen it so much on 4th gens, but on the seconds is where the issue really blew up. The sun beating through the sunroofs just ruined the vinyl or whatever the armrest was wrapped with. All you need to to is just find new material, order it online or a craft store and if I remember correctly, you just staple it down on the underside of the lid tightly. Oh, and don't forget to add some nice foam under it for padding.

If so, I just did this repair and it works perfectly now. The springs came in a pack or 10 or 12. I only used two. I'm happy to send you a couple if you live in the U.S.
