A 4 speed transfer case under development - the "Atlas 4SP". Advance Adapters is currently in the prototype phase of the newest addition to the Atlas family. The Atlas transfer case has a long list of credits to its name, which include reliability, ruggedness & versatility - and built by a name you can trust. This new unit will fit the same applications as the standard Atlas transfer case; and at approximately 16" O.A.L., this unit should be a shoe-in for most vehicles. The Atlas 4SP will offer the same speedometer connections and VSS options as its 2 speed counterpart and will be attractively priced below $3000. Stay tuned here for more updates as they become available.

a 4sp t-case? as in high-not so high-low-and freekin low?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm atlasy goodness

This would be great once I get the axles under there. Now I just gotta find 3k. One day...one day. :D

Twice as many gear ranges...might be twice the price too. Better save up 6k, just in case. :D

If you don't use the extra 3k, just send it to my paypal account. ;)

Someone should buy one and give me the're current Atlas :D

all it is, is the competition for staks 3 speed transfer case.

Swwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet  An alternative to going the Klune-V route.

Yea, I was looking into that stak 3 sp. transfer case. It was around $2800 Now right on their heels comes AA. with a 4 sp. I quess thats the American way.....Competition Can't wait to hear more Rick

If it bolts up behind a 4rf70w without an adapter I am gonna be mad :)

I'll wait til there's a 5 speed available. :p

Honestly, isnt 4 speed a little excessive? I mean I love the atlas as much as the next guy but wtf? At what point has it gone too far? I could Almost justify a 3 speed. but 4?

Got this by email the other day:

As promised, Advance Adapters is ready to release more information on the Atlas 4SP. The following is the most current information at this time:

Current Status: Project Atlas 4SP is still under development, and on schedule. The first working prototype is planned for release at Off Road Expo in October 2005. Advance Adapters has one unit physically built and it is still undergoing further modifications and testing.

Physical Dimensions: The first prototype measures 13.75" O.A.L. with a flange yoke. Depending on application, there will be other length units available.

Gear Ratios: The test unit currently boasts an astonishing 10:1 in its lowest range! Other sets of gear ratios are currently under development. There will be 3 different sets of ratios available, with 4 pre-determined ratios per unit. No overdrive will be offered in the 4 speed units.

Shifter Information: Cable operated shifting is being developed and will reach production units. Push button technology is currently being explored, and production units will have either an electric or air shifter option; making for a very "low profile" and clean fit into the newer TJ and custom applications.

10:1 lowest gear means 4:1 and a 2.5:1 low ranges I'm guessing

As for the pushbutton shifting

Holy crap, 10:1 is insane. Man thats crawling

i wonder who is going to be the first person to put a klune V infront of on of these

Im guessing 2.72 and 3.8 will be the ratios. 2.72 is the planitary gears out of a NP case found in jeeps. And 3.8 is alrady gears available in an atlas. Thats my guess on how it will work. If I cant get my doubler to work in my truck One of these 4spds could easily be finding its way into my truck. Can you say 190 to 1 low range :D
