Riff-They have the brake lines in the catalog, stainless steel flex for lifted applications. Call them up, give them your truck specs and they will get them out to you. Thier number is 1-800-847-3287. I ordered my wheels/tires from them and they shipped the next day. These guys deal strictly 4x4 stuff. I took off my nerf bars the other day, but it looks stupid. They are going back on this weekend.

Andre-I bought my CB and antenna at Radio Shack. Now, before I get any flack, Radio Shack makes SOME good stuff and I trust the CB's because they don't make them. ;) They have like 15 different antenni to chose from. The most expensive is $50, that's the 6' white whip antenna.

One more question about the CB, what's up with this SWR antenna tuner thingy? Is this really necessary? It says I have to tune my antenna, what's the deal with that? Oh, and Andre, where did you mount the handset?

Kampy-You can't scare me that easy!...hehe

I dunno about duct tape...that will do something wierd to my seat, by way of goo.....but there was a 6 point harness on e-bay for pretty cheap....Dead Link Removed

I dunno about duct tape Riff but a diaper should do, lol.
****
I just visited Radio Shack today-well had to pay my bill, nothing that really caught my eye. I'm gonna stick with my small thingy.
****
Regarding handset of my CB - CB is below the dasboard on the right side of the column and handset is between the CB and the column just a tad higher than a CB.
****
Todd - I can't really take the hooks back. They're on my rig already. All I can do is go there and tell the guy how it was nice of him to take me for such a ride. It's for sure now 100% that GM will never see me as a client!!
****
Dave, hope you can think of something to get me out of bed, perhaps a fire alarm???? that might work, lol.
****
Back to bed. Got to work some more Sat and Sun so I can fully enjoy my weekend with all of you scouts.

See ya!
PS Look at pix I took after body lift and some testing:

Riff, actually your driving is mild. I've seen girls that push harder than you do. Hope I didn't pop your balloon. :)

*gasp*

There were 9 threads in front of this one!!! come on...don't you guys have to take 50 replies to figure out why people park on a driveway and drive on a parkway or somthing? maybe.....why are they called apartments, when they're all stuck together?

only playing! Dead Link Removed

GOT MUD!!

Hey Riff,

RichSport and I went out on some trails Sunday and it was awesome. Got into mud and water a few inches above the bottom of the doors. It was pretty cool. Went down a drop off that was pretty steep, just about hit my front bumper. Lots of slippery mud and ruts. A few jeeps and a blazer were there too. These BGF MT's are awesome, pull through the mud something fierce. By the end of the day my truck was covered in mud and after I washed it found tons of scratches. I hope Zaino will get them out, if not I have black car wax. Anyways, just wanted to liven up the thread a bit and tell my story.

Hey Rich, if it rains again we should go and I'll bring my video camera.

Oh yeah, here's a funny story you guys can give me **** about. When we were done I went to shift it into 2WD from 4low. It wouldn't shift, nothing. So we drove to the parking lot and tried again. Nothing. OK, now I am freaking....sort of. Let's check the connector, it might be wet. I crawled under the truck dripping with nasty misquito water and checked the plug.....god dammit, this damn thing won't disconnect. I get my gloves, ok, I got it disconnected and it's dry......hmmm. Lets check the fuses, yup, those are ok too. Well, if all else fails, check the manual. OK, shift into neutral....ok......press the brake....WHAT!!!?....press the brake? So, I press the brake and it shifts into 2wd. OK, now I feel reeaaaalllly stupid and Rich is laughing at me along with my girlfriend. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure this out and all I had to do was press the brake? "Well, you know how men are." my gf says, "f*** with it for a hour and THEN read the instructions!"

hahaha....now you know how i feel when i couldn't get my truck into low for the mud race!!!! glad im not the only one!!!!

we are probably going to head out friday night..get some sleep and hit the trails...

so whats with the $68 to play?? we are only planning to stay and trail ride for saturday and motor for home sunday noonish....

is there anyway that we could just pay when we get there for the day and where ever we decide to camp??
or is the $68 some kind of membership dues for the explorer club??

someone lemme know...

and as for not getting it into 4LO..dont any of you boys buy a real truck..mine has to be in neutral..not moving and my foot has to be on the brake!!..lets see if your corodintated to do that...if you cant get it in low gear..dont try to get mud up to the middle of the doors..or actually have to roll the windows up to keep creek water from coming in!!

Ill show you how to have fun..and WHO CARES IF ITS SCRATCHED!!!! if you like it that much..dont trail ride with it!!,,buy a beater..its alot more fun!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I've been sifting through a million posts on this thread and losing my train of thought. Does anybody have a tally of whose going, what days they will be there, and where they are staying?

I'm still figuring on arriving on Saturday around noon or so, since I will be too beat to drive out there after work on Friday. I'm not 100% decided on lodging. I can camp, but would rather stay somewhere where there is a bed and shower. :-)

Wanderer, I didn't catch it, but are you going on Saturday morning or at a different time. I will be coming through Columbus on my way there, since it appears quicker to go that way. I'm looking at 6 hours or so driving time overall.

Wait, I thought it was like 15 do bucks to go wheeling?
Not including the room I got....Pete

yeah....im not sure where you got the $68 there big guy.....unless you were looking at the wabash fall fest fee on the 6th - 8th of october....and i think thats for like 5 meals too....where didja get that number? the actual park fees are as follows

$15.00 Daily Pass
$20.00 Two Day Pass
$30 Three Day Pass
$ 5 Passenger Per Day

thats it!

oh yeah...as for my lift....my lazy ass hasent even started it yet!! i know....i know....but it will be on for the run!! I promise!!! this way i can really do some crazy ****!!

I need to get a lift....

Riff I amy join you in the afternoon on Saturday it's that or I strap myelf in Kampy's bed to go on the Orange trail. I really want to do that trail, but I am not equipped yet.
I can't wait to graduate, and make some real money to get some real mods.

Andre,

If you don't get up when I wake you, then you'll miss a great day of wheelin'. I think that will be motivation enough to get you up, don't you think? :)

Dave

Sure do; would not miss it for the world. As planed, I'm ready to head out to Danville on Friday late afternoon. Saturday wheeling, then I see if I want to stay for Sunday. Riff, I might drop in on you Sunday the 8th since I'll be attending a Bug Fest that takes place in Normal. Send me directions on how to find you via p-mail.

Thanks,

Later,

:)

BOOM!!!!!

400 POSTS!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!!! does this mean i need a life?

what the heck is the bug fest? man..i live here, and i don't even know what that is.....does that really mean that i need a life? if you can let me know where it is, i will find you, rather than confusing you on how to get to me. cool?

Wanderer, I believe the $68 you got was the hotel fee. Maybe you should read slower.

OK, you CBer's out there. I hooked up my cb today and antenna. When I connect the antenna to the transceiver I get no reception. When I disconnect the antenna and just stick the center post in I get great reception. Only when the outer threaded ring touches does the reception go away as if it's completely disconnected. What's up with that? My old antenna worked fine(magnet), but now I have a different set up. I have it mounted to my roof rack and I have a white fiberglass 4' antenna with a spring and 20' cable.
