attn: 91-94 x owners - cold air induction ideas/help

i've been trying different searches and haven't had any luck, so i'm gonna break down and ask for help.

i'm looking for 91-94 x owners that have created their own cold air induction systems for use w/ the kkm tru-rev kit, i would like info on creating both the pre MAS and post filter tubing - ie:materials/routing/etc... - i have been sketching some ideas out but i'm just not sure?

pictures would be of great help, please feel free to email them if to large to post.

does anyone know if there would be repercussions to shortening the distance between the TB and the MAS drastically? (i'm talking like down to appx 6 to 8 inches)

please help
:(

moderator - is there a way to alter the thread name to match my subject line, maybe i'll get more hits?

It's easy. Cut a 4" hole in yor radiator support where the stock air inlet was.

Then attach a 4" piece of dryer hose (the heavy duty black stuff) to it. Then run the hose up under the battery to your KKM filter.

I have a K&N 7" cone, which accepts the 4" hose almost all they way up over the filter, with the KKM you will just be feeding the open end of the filter.

Then the next step is to build a shroud around the whole assembly to keep the hot underhood air out.

I have all this in an 88 BII, so it's a little different.
I am using a 95 4.0L intake tube so my filter sits right behind the pass side headlight where the battery once was.

You can re-locate your battery too and use a 95 intake tube, it makes the ram air setup easier.

thanks 410 i'll look at that
