After finishing my lift I made a mistake. So my origional axles came with an open rear diff and 3.27 gears. Lame. So I bought a parts truck for a song and it came with 3.73s and a limited slip rear end. So I swapped them over while lifting the truck and did a pretty nice soa swap. Well me knowing everything about anything, I figured it would be a good idea to take the manual hubs that came on the 3.27 axle and put them the new 3.73 (which came with auto hubs). Well I figured out why there is a conversion kit. My manual hub literally exploded and vanished. I am left with the backing plate to the hub. So to the gurus on here I need some advice, can I take the spindle nuts and washers off of the 3.27 axle that came with man hubs and put them on the axle that came with auto hubs? I'm basically trying not to buy the $60 conversion kit. Any advice is appriciated. Thanks,
Jacob.
