I pulled a bezel with the factory fog light switch. I was looking to run my kc's off this switch to rid of my toggle. Has anyone ever done this that didn't already have factory fogs? Mainly asking because i wasnt sure how to make the switch function properly. I found the switch is bad so have to get another one but figured id check continuity to figure how to run power and ground but would also like the indicator light in the switch to light up as well. Thank you for any input

Anybody use a factory foglight switch for aftermarket lights? without already having factory fogs?

I'm positive it can be done. A switch is a switch. Use the switch to power a relay and you'll have no problems. Hell, the truck might already have the wiring in place that you could plug into the switch and then tap into factory foglight wires under the bumper. Look around inside the dash near the switch and see if you can find a plug that isn't plugged into anything. Same thing underneath the front bumper. If not, just find a wiring diagram for the year of the truck you pulled the bezel from. Probably be easiest if you have the plug and a few inches of wire to splice into. After that, if you have any wiring experience at all, this should be a cake walk.

They should be fine... If nothing else, you can use the switch to trigger the relay for your aftermarket lights. The factory fog switch just triggers a relay in the engine bay, so same concept.

Like already posted, use the switch to power a relay.

I run all four off mine (2 off factory wiring, 2 off rely). My mounty had factory fog lights so they don't work when the headlights are on bright but my headlights are useless when my offroad lights are on.

The factory fog switch activates a relay and is what I run my hid driving lights off of.
