Auxiliary Light Hook Up?

Any 12V source in the cabin should work. I commonly use the one that supplies power to the radio as that keeps the lights from being able to be turned on when the car is off. It will be a VERY minor amount of current, so it won't affect radio performance either. Now if you WANT the ability to turn the fogs on ALL the time, find the 12V wire that is HOT even when the car is off (often it ALSO runs into the radio and is used to keep power for the presets).

What about if I hook it up like this? I already have all the wires running to the engine compartment.

That will result in a light that can be turned on at ANY time and will NOT turn off with the car. If you are CERTAIN that you won't leave them on and end up with a dead battery, then it will work JSUT fine. Otherwise, tie into an ACC power source.

Okay, I installed the relay and everything works now. Yes, I did want to have to lights able to turn on when the truck is not. Thanks for your help.

Awesome glad I could help.
