There has been alot of tallk with the whole awd to 4x4 t-case thing.....
I have a few more questions:
If i remember correct the awd and 4x4 front ends are exactly the same- correct? all that really needs to be changed is the t-case?
will the awd driveshaft still work?
what exactly is the difference in the awd and 4x4 t-case? The awd is designed to drive on dry roads and any speed... what about the 4x4 t-case? I ask this because my truck is lowered and is a sport truck. I love the AWD for traction... its the best.... but its also nice to be able to disable it sometimes and I am sick of dropping the rear driveshaft.
With the 4x4 t-case... is there a speed limit to how fast? can it be used on dry pavement like the awd? Could i turn the t-case on for 4x4 and run it at the track?? from stop light to stop light? or just in lite rain?
I know they say 4x4 should only be used on the road it covered with snow or ice..... why is that and what makes the awd different so it can be used on drive pavement?
sorry for all the questions and thanks to anyone that can answer them and help me out!!
