Hello Guys I'm bran new to the forum. I recently bought a 1998 explorer 5.0 AWD. I do not like the AWD. I saw the thread on how to switch to the BW transfer case out of the F-150. My question is can you just switch from an explorer or ranger and not have to get different drive shafts and such? Thanks.

An Explorer or Ranger V6 will have a smaller (Borg Warner 1354) transfer case than the 4406 that you need. An F-150 is your only option for a manual shift case. If you want an electrically shifted case you may (not sure) be able to get one from an Expedition. My recollection is that all the Expedition cases were Torque-on-Demand, but I may be wrong.
