search for the "brown wire mod" -- it should work for awd, but I'm not sure

i heard that it does not work. You might have to drop the awd and just have a rear d-shaft.

That's what I thought. So just research, cause it's been discussed before. Why do you want a 2wd?

Second, let me make this perfectly clear: If you have a V-8 with All Wheel Drive, this mod does not work for you.

Pull the front shaft and always use your e-brake from then on.

It's funny seeing my own quotes coming back to haunt me LOL!!!

No, it's not possible to convert the AWD transfer case to a 2wd setup without removing the transfer case.

Why in the world do you want to roast your tires?
The traction you get now, most drag racing teams would die for.
I know when I take mine for the first run, I'll just drive thru the water trap, sit on the line and wait for the other guy to show off, and launch like a horse when it's my turn.
If you REALLY must though, your best solution is to find someone with a 2wd that want awd and swap parts.
removing the front shaft alone won't cut it, power still gets applied to front when wheelspin occurs
