As stated above I want to bring a spare front and rear drive shafts to Moab and want to know where you guys are stashing yours and how you mounted/stored them. So lets hear your great ideas!

I carry my front spares (splines wrapped in plastic wrap) in a large rubbermaid storage container.. It is water proof lockable, and stores most off my parts and supplies..

I just have one big box that holds everything..:dunno:

Just throw them in the back but make sure to strap them down. I had my d44 roll over in the bed of my new f150...put a hole in the inner wheel well LOL :D

That's the same box I have  Of course I don't have a custom rail system to lock it down ;) The only thing I don't like about it is the carry handles (or rather molded hand grips are tiny making it hard to handle for 1 person)

mine are cleanedu real real good and tied under the seat in the rear. rear shafts only right now since i destroyed my front ones and i am now running the spares

Stic-O, I was wondering were you got that stuff to lock down your box in the back of the explorer. I woudl love something like that. That's a good idea too.

It's Just E-Track like they use in the back of trailers. I got it from my local metal place. There are many places online too. just ask for E-Track.

It's even worse when the boxs weighs 200lbs.+ 2 people starts to get hard.

Well I'm thinking of having brackets welded to the bumpers and mounting them there. It's just going to look funny.

If you're going to store them outside the rig, I'd suggest storing them underneath the truck between the frame rail and rocker.
