'BAD CD' error - Anyone had this?

My 6 disc changer in my 97 Limited just started producing this error.

I assume its the changer and not the deck...

Any had this issue? Solution?

Shy of and easy fix, I do have a post up seeking a 6 disc changer in the wanted section.

Is it with all cds? Some burned cds or cds with scrathes early in the info will not register in my old Alpine cd player

every disc. all six slots, no matter what disc i put in... i buy lots of discs still so they are still new condition.

probably is the changer then. I dont know what to tell you about it other than good luck with it. Someone may be able to help you out.

It's junk. Need a new changer. Only a stock changer can integrate with your factory radio/controls, if that was the next question...

Check eBay or local wrecking yards...
