Ok, Last week my rear driver side tire ripped off while I was driving. I'm not sure what happend ,but the piece of tire that was left on had the side wall all chopped up. Luckly it was very early in the mourning so I didnt get into an accident when the explorer went into the on comming trafic lane and I didnt roll. I did have to drive a couple miles on the rim because its nothing but forest in between my home and the nearest gas station. Oh and these werent firestones either, The tire guy said I either hit something that ripped the tire up or someone slashed my tire. Either way I need to replace it and sice Im up for a new set what do you guys suggest? I have a stock 91 explorer xlt.

thanks

I would buy a set of BFG Long Trail T/A's. They are a great all around tire for rain, snow, and off roading as long as it isn't deep sticky mud.

I would suggest BFG All Terrain TA KOs...they are great tires and they look really good, and they are really good off road, and in mud...but not really deep mud...im really happy with them

I have the KO's and i like them alot, but if you don't do any wheelin or just not much at all then i would say go with the long trail.
