tire problem, also burning rubber smell

t_under.gif

my front tires look like this, mainly the drivers side..under inflated? does that mean that their is too much air in them?

also, would this solve my problem with the truck pulling to the right, becasue im smelling burning rubber after riding on highways...when i park it in the garage and walk by the tire i smell burning rubber

Under inflated would mean there is not enough air in the tire. You should run 32-35 PSI in them. If they are under inflated they will over heat which could explain the smell. You could also have an alignment problem.

With your wheels pointing straight look to see if the passenger side tire is turned further right (left while looking from the front). If so the toe out is off which would cause the vehicle to pull to the right.
This will also cause the tire to over haet do to the added friction.

I would have a shop check everthing as soon as possible.
