Anyone else have Boggers? I have the new 37x13 tires and they require a lot of wieght. Do they all require this much wieght(10-21oz) or is it because this is a new size and they haven't got the quality under control yet? They really ride rough and are NOT round-has anyone else experienced this also with the Boggers. I understand that they're not a street tire--BUT! It's a good thing that I use them offroad only.

i used to be a tire guy...they are a heavy tire but shouldnt require over a pound to balance...i have balanced some 38 inch bfg muds that only required 4 ounces...and that is a 1/4 pound

It's an offroad tire not a wimpy Firestone

I wouldn't think twice about the tire having it's quirks on-road. These tires are made for the trail, nothing more. Have you tried driving them on the trail while aired down to 15 p.s.i.? How do they handle? Have you thought about returning them to where you bought them and asking for an exchange? How about selling them to Consumer Reports so they could run an article on their on-road handling and general demeanor? [LOL!] Have fun spanking the pants off of the other guys!
Those tires are bulletproof!

I had/have the same problem with my 37X12.5 Denman Coyotes, including the same weight range you mentioned to balance. I had them trued (shaved), which helped some, but that may not be possible on a Bogger's serious tread. Mine are a mild all-terrain.
I believe the main reason for the balance problem is the distance between the rim and the tread of the tire. The greater the distance, the more weight required to to achieve balance.
Since you only use them offroad, if they are in reasonable balance, I wouldn't worry about the amount of weight.

What size rims are you running?

I'm running 37x13

There not the biggest tires but they are a new size. I'm just thinking that maybe there not qwuite up to specs yet.?

Doesn't it matter if the wheel itself are made right. In the past I've had 33 nudders on my Ranger and I had 2 wheels that needed weight and 2 that didn't to balance them.

so when does BFG make a 38
