Hi,

I've been trying to contact bamachips but there number is disconnected and they aren't returning any emails. Anyone know of anyone else who can do me a good fuel economy bin file, or does someone have one they could email me? I have a 95 4.0 auto, broadcast code FIG2.

Thanks,
Mike

I am pretty sure you are limited by the fact your truck is a 95, which makes it neither OBD1 nor OBD2--rather it is a mixture of the 2.

You might call James Henson to see what can be done

I've tried contacting him also and niether bama or henson likes to return phone calls. I sent bamachips 3 emails over a 1 week period, and henson 2 phone calls with messages with no responce over the same 1 week period. I'm confused.............

I believe that James Henson has posted in the past that remote tunes are limited to OBD-II vehicles. I believe that OBD-I vehicles have to be physically present for him to tune them.

Thats fine, but I would just like for either one of these people to try returning an email or phone call. If James has done a FIG2 bin before all I would need him to do is just email me the file and I can upload it.

I am also waiting on Paul Booth who wrote EEC editor, for a definition file for my EEC and then I will be doing my own chip. I increased my last F150 from 16 to 19 mpg's just with my own recalibration.

I've dealt with both Doug (Bama) and James and they're both dudes. I know that Doug has pulled away from the tuning game in recent years, but James has not. I find the easiest way to contact James is via email. He has always returned my emails via his iPhone and it's unusual for him not to return communications. Sometimes life gets in the way. I know he's a busy guy.

There are a LOT of happy Henson customers on this board that will attest to James' ability to take care of you.

Weird..James has always called me back within an hour. Maybe he's sick?

I talked to James, and all is well there. The problem is I have an obd1 eec. I will figure out what I will be doing here in the next few more weeks.

Thanks,
Mike

Bamachips has been sold to American Muscle.

Damn, that blows. Doug is a quality guy. He always took good care of me and I always liked his tunes and support (and I still have the C&L MAF body he sold me). He always went the extra mile to take care of me and it saddened me when his service started to suffer. Luckily for me, James has filled the void but I'll never have a bad thing to say about Doug. Sometimes life just gets in the way. :(
