my 92 explorer battery light came on i checked the voltage while running its at 14.75 but when the engine is rev up it drops too 14.30 so i replaced the alt but still does the same what else can i do or check on it ...thanks

You have a bad connection at the solenoid or the solenoid is toast.

Or, the battery has a bad cell.

Or, your battery cables are shot.

Clean, check, check.

If the batt light is on and the alternator is putting out, then there is a bad connection in the system.

After a few hours sitting (overnight) check the battery voltage. It should be around 12.5 Volts. If much lower, your battery is either worn out or has a bad cell. A voltage reading of over 14 when running tells me that the alternator was/is fine. As FR-425 says above, check everything associated directly with the battery. Let us know what you find.
