Not sure yet. I spent a week up in BSP during August 2002, and it was amazing. I've always wanted to go back. As the date nears, I'll know more about whether I'm able to go.

Do we have a running tally as to who is still in for this trip? I lost track. I only ask because I can only afford to take so much time off this summer. I have the cape trip #1 on my list. I just got an offer to go down to florida for free for a week this summer. So if the turnout for baxter is starting to look not so good, Then I would like to book my florida trip in place of baxter.
Let me know how its looking thus far.

That's cool. But you know when the date is. May 25th - 28th, aka: Memorial Day weekend, or any days between if for example you can't get Friday off.

I have to agree with V8BoatBuilder...Showers, travel times.... ouch
So here's my two cents. I'm in. You tell me when and I will be there, I prefer to travel at night so I will head up Friday after work. I dont care where I sleep. I will sleep in my truck or one of my tents or in my camper trailer...Just let me know what you all want. BTW I will be happy to bring my camper if you folks want. It sleeps between 3 and 6. Its got about 10 years on me so don't expect a land yatch or anything but i gets the job done. I also have TONS of camping gear I will bring. Just let me know what you need.
I do think that while there I will skip out on some of the wheelin' (my new truck is just too pretty for that) and hike Mt. Katahdin. IMHO you dont put on a rubber unless your gonna... well you dont drive all the way to baxter if your not gonna summit Katahdin. I'm probably gonna solo it or bring a friend but all are most welcome to join. I will definitely be up for some campfire time and just hangin out.

BTW

the alcohol thing. i personally don't drink but the way most of the parks work up there is that the alcohol rule is more of a safety blanket for the park. If you are behaving within the rules you wont have a problem. however if you are being loud and obnoxious it makes it very easy for the park rangers to ask you to leave because they have something tangible that you are in violation of rather than just saying your being too loud which is easy to disprove or argue with.

Right now I'll say association of anyone who draws the unwanted attention of park rangers will be disavowed. : So far, though, you make the 5th person (assuming my brother and 01exsport both come) for the trip. How big is your tent? I have one that easily slept 4 on the Cape last year and could likely also sleep 6. My thinking is to either get 2 tent sites and you could save yourself the trouble of hauling the camper up, or bring it and we'll have either your tent or mine as well.

Its no trouble at all for me to haul the camper...My V6 barely knew the thing was in tow so I am really excited to get it behind the v8. I have a couple big tents a 4man and a big 6man. i would be happy to bring both or one
