Bed extender security straps

I think you should take the pic of what you got

(I don't use straps, the factory extender doesn't use them, lock pins are used)

from what I believe seeing one of the strap kits:
the strap wraps aroud the extender, and the other end clicks into the tailgate latch (should look like the pin in the box that the latch holds to keep the tailgate closed)

edit:
sorry read post properly - will try and take a picture this aft.

The yellow circled pins are the ones you will need to buy if it is a stock ford bed extender.

If the middle piece has never been installed, then the hole will need to be threaded.

Exactly what I was looking for. Got mine installed today. Thanks guys.

They must have changed it. On my old '05 the extender had to be, uh, extended, to remove it. Only came out one way. With the tailgate closed and/or locked the extender wasn't coming out unless you broke it. My '08 is the same.
Really? Really?? Come on, really????

There is an easy way to prevent it. If you could find two more of those vertical bars, you can install them close to the ends to prevent someone from being able to move it downwards. At least it would prevent a quick steal. And as long as your tailgate is locked.
