Belt slipping off of the pulleys.

yesterday out of no where my battery lite came on and care started over heating so i figured out that it was the belt it sliped off the fan pully so stop spinning everything...
so i put the belt back on rite and a few hours later the same happened. why is it slipping? bad belt? i used the tension pully to make it very tight

I've moved this thread to the stock 95-01 section. Either the belt is stretched, and has too much slack or the tensioner is bad.

Like B said. Stretched belt or bad tensioner. Might wanna replace the idler pulley too.

With the belt off, inspect all the pulleys by spinning them.
