Its pushed in one the upper middle part, no creases. How hard should it be to pull it out? I will have another core support next week, but I dont have welder so Id rather fix mine, and it needs to be inspected because it has a salvaged title. Anybody in Ohio ever done this, and is close to Perry County want to make some money?

hmm.. well if you had a hi-lift jack, i'd wrap a tow strap around the top of the core support and attach that strap on to the hi-lift and have the hi-lift attached to your house/tree or something.. and then crank away ahahah! oh and have some1 step on the brakes ;) rather crude and barbaric but it might just work!

thats the thing, I dont have the equipment/tools to do it right. A guy I know said he had a come a long but has yet to show up with it

well if your ex is running, then wrap the tow strap around the core support and the other end onto a tree, and back ur explorer up slowly. ahaha thats rather iffy tho cauz you might just rip the entire thing off! you'd have to go very slow about it.

Ill have to put my radiator and such back on. Id rather find somebody with a prot-a-power or come a long to do it for me.

you could attach the other end of the tow strap to another vehicle and have that vehicle pull very slowly!! ! ahahaha im all over the place with this tow strap idea!!! tow straps for everyone! enjoy yoselves!!!

Or if anybody is around Perry County Ohio and has a portable welder, would like to change supports for me that would be cool also.

well im not from there so sorry cant help u out

A port-a-power wont help being as you have nothing safe to push off of.

Iz is on the right track ( that is fun to say " IZ is ")

A come along to a tree will definately do the trick. The bend is not too, too significant.

Here is what you should do though. Dont just pull till it is straight. Pull it about three quarters of the way and hit the core sup with an hammer ( preferably a body hammer ) with some medium hits. Working down the high spots.
Let off the pressure and see what you have.
Now give it a second pull to the point if straight. Give it some more taps.
Release the pressure. SOme times it holds there some times not. I have a hunch with that thick of a core sup it will need to be a bit over pulled.
If so, pull it just a little bit beyond where it is soupose to be. Not a lot.
Over pulls can be a real PITA. The last little bit likely will take more than a few attempts. Take your time and be safe.

We just straightened the rear bumper on my brothers ranger (used to be mine) today by wrapping a tow strap around a tree. Eased it foward slowly (low gear), stopped and backed up to see what it did. We did this a few times very gently and got it straight. Just be careful and don't over bend. Monmix knows whats he talking about.
