best single sub for under 300

if u had an audiobahn a8000t amp and needed a sub what sub would it be.

the amp pushes 800 watts rms at 2 ohms. so the sub needs to be a dual 4 ohm sub that can handle 800 rms.

ps. anyone think that this amp can handle a 1 ohm load.

That's what I'am going to be running! Three 12"Kicker L7's.I have a Audiobahn(A1500HCT)2000WX1 rms @1ohm mono Very,very powerful and clean too!My lil brother run's one also in his 95'Explorer Sport!On apair of 15"Audiobahn(ALUM15's)!

aight i was thinking of the L7 too. u think that would be the better sub then an audiobahn aw1206t or anthing else. im leaning towards the kicker tho since i have one of there comps i no they do hit hard. but i just wanna look at my options.

Concept CPT or CSP models. I have brand new CPT-15 for sell. I used to have two but one got stolen. I put it in a 2 cu ft box tuned to about 37hz and through 1200wrms at it and it was so loud it literally hurt. I know a guy did 149.x on a new audiocontrol mic with almost the same set-up with the 15.

Other subs I would recommend would be Adire, Treo, DD, ED, Kicker

I like the kicker L7 too...in my mind you dont get enough when you buy JL for the money they ask...i think you should also looking into the image dynamics id max. very good sub and the SQ is there also, just a thought and opinion

the kicker is an spl machine i think but i like a balance of spl and sq when its possible....have you herd the id max....it will give that kicker a run for its money and still sound good....... concept in my opinion is a step down from JL image dynamics and kicker.

I'll agree on the IDMAX (I just ordered one ). Some of the Concept low end wont, but their new top end stuff, CPT, CSP, LMT, can hang if not beat most of the kicker (with the exception of the solo x, of course), jl, id, in spl. But either way you go, you wont be disappointed because all these companies have good products. You just got to make sure you have a good install and everthing should be could.

now i think ima go with a 15 inch l7 or a 12 inch idmax. i just gotta decide on witch one. u think the idmaz would hit as hard as the l7 but have better sq?

a 15 L7 will beat the 12 id max in pure spl but i just dont like the sound. The ID max will keep up with the 12 L7 however and sound a whole lot better. I mean really all that bumpin aint that cool if it sounds like ****....ya know
