i have infinity references but i was wondering if any one knows of the best speakers for those highs. i have a nice sub but bass isn't my thing. i want to hear all the lyrics and riffs. i actually have the bass turned down b/c it's so powerful.

get a good component set. 5.25" will sound great.

do you know how the ones in crutchfield are? they seem to have a few component sets in there.

Crutchfield does have a few good comp sets. i think the infinity kappa sets are probably their best. the kickers are also pretty good. then maybe rockford fosgate.
any one of those component sets will make a dramatic improvement for your music.

I use the JL Audio 6" components in the front and I love them........all of the brands Leenjen metioned rock too!

this kind of gets me...because there isn't a brand that is the "best" in some peoples mind, some may be better than others, but to define best, is an agruement that will never be solved...best is different to everyone, I personally i like my audiobahn 5x7 and pioneer tweeters...but thats because thats what i got and the "best" i could afford

i think if your looking to find an answer for what brand is the best for highs, to get a single answer you'll be looking for ever

i agree that everyone is going to have different opinions on which setups are the best. personally i think i have a awesome system and i paid a good amount for it, yet i think i can still get much louder and crisper highs and i wanted the opinions of people that have that same interest.

i am not trying to be an a$$hole, but if thats what you were wanting to know , you should come out and say that next time, no where in your first post does it ask about highs that are crisp and loud. To get an answer first you must be clear in what you want to know.....its much like asking what ceral is the best, on top of the many brands, but also the many brands often come in different flavors...
so just be more specific and you'll get more of the answers that your looking for.

r u serious???? i'm a member in 4 different automotive forums for over 5 years now and your tellin me how to post??? you said i didn't say anything about ''highs'' in my 1st post......what then did i mean by ''i wan't those highs'....your right i guess that wasn't clear enough??????' listen, i'll ask what i want when i want without your f---in input next time. and NO, THANK YOU.

man no need to get all angry about it.
i'm simply saying its easier to get what your looking for if your more specific.

i'll be the first to admit that this was rediculous. i always see people sayin that there is no way to say what the best speakers are and so on, i was just lookin for a general opinion and thats why i asked a general question. there is no way to be specific when it comes to sound systems b/c there is so many. i was lookin for answers from people that like to hear the lyrics and actual music rather than smashing the windows on the block that they live in with all the bass. no need to be specific, the general point was made.

JL Audio XR series ownz you!

Get this back to a civil conversation or it will be deleted.

alphabets13 wants opinons on Speakers that is it.

Since I am Posting I would recomend the Pioneer 6x8 three ways. I have had them in my Navajo for 3 years and been Very happy with them. Go to the Local Best Buy (uselly instock) and Listen to them and tell me what you think...

please read my first couple posts and tell me where i wasn't nice????? this all began after someone trashed me for simply asking a Q. my god, after you think you've seen it all. I was and still am on an accord forum for 5 years and never saw anything like this. i guess now i know this forum is not a helpful one and i give you my word i'll never ask another Q again b/c it's not worth the aggravation. I guess asking people for their opinion is wrong on this board, what was I thinking!!!

anyway, kris, i have infinity reference speakers in the front and back, but I think what other people are sayin I might check out, those component systems. maybe a couple tweeters or something like that will give me what i'm lookin for. I will check those speakers out though, since i go to best buy alot. thanx for your input and opinion. that is all i was lookin for from the start of this post.

My system consists of 5.25 Infinity Kappa Components. They are the green system and im sure not much has changed since Infinity has put out their new line of Kappas. I love them. My cousin has the Polk dX Components. Not THEE best IMHO and they are 1 inch = BIG FOOTPRINT, but more affordable than Kappas. My Kappas are 3/4 inch and better sounding.

Yo guys, y'all need to calm down and just treat each other with a lil bit more respects. props to my boy rodney for helpin us ro realize this the hard way.

i have a polk dx 12'' sub and i used to have polk speakers until i got the infinity's. i'll check out your system though. i kinda like infinity stuff. my girlfriends 2000 jeep cherokee came stock with a infinity gold system and it is amazing. all shes needs is a nice sub and it would be real sweet.

since you mentioned it....

I jave the Infinity 63cs (6.5") comps w/tweeters in the front for my highs running off a 600w amp, they sound AMAZING.

Hey alphabets, Ive got directed 5x7's and they sound really good. they are amped and theyve got really good highs and mids. They are great speakers and respond really well to an amplifier.
