best speakers for highs

I've got 6.5" boston acoustics and they complement the rest of my system nicely. Now i've got good highs to go with my bass.

My opinion?

MB Quart PSDs. They come in 5 & 1/4 or 6 & 1/2. I have the 6 & 1/2s and they sound great to me. You will need to give them power though!

now, how do these component systems work? do they replace the speakers in the door? and where do you mount the tweeters? i've seen those Qlogic kick panels but i don't know if i would want the tweeters near the floor. crutchfield has many component systems but i have good speakers i wonder if all i need is a set of good tweeters? and i don't want to buy a component system and then need an amp for it either. i've already spent so much i don't want to spend all that much more.

Normally they replace your stock speakers. You can see where I mounted the tweeters here:

hey bill, whered u get that box for your 12w7? can u get any more? how much was it?

Well the box is a JL Audio design. I had it made by a shop here in Naples. They charged me $150 but I know the guy. If you want I can find out the cost to have another one built!

You could probably go to a local JL Audio authorized dealer and they could get the specs from JL. I can try to get the specs if you want to build one yourself!

These definately aren't the best

I had exceptionally good luck with $20 Motorola tweeters from radio shack, i mean they are cheap little things but they can blare out some highs.
