Beware of scammers sending PMs!!

We have had a few scammers send PMs to folks looking to buy parts. They take a username of an old member and tell you to contact them with an email address that does not belong to that member.

If you receive any PMs like this please let me know.

I am confused, how can they take the username of an old member? Do they get purged from the database or something?

They tell you that xxxxx has the part you need and all you have to do is email them at the address the scammer gives you in a PM. xxxxx is the random active member of the site who has no clue about any parts for sale.
